The Kindergarten and 1st grade are ready to present the musical, "A Barnyard Moosical", on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cody High School Wynona Thompson Auditorium. All students should be sitting with their parents in an auditorium seat ready to go to risers by 6:15 p.m.
The High School band will have a concert in the Band Room starting at 6:45, as well. To accommodate parking for all families coming to watch their child’s music program on Tuesday evening. Sunset School families are asked to park in the Senior parking lot and south of the parking lot on Cody Avenue. High school parents will park to the right of the front of the Auditorium on 10th street and by the City park. Thank you for understanding and your cooperation.
All Kindergarten and 1st grade students should have some kind of a costume ready to go for the program.
***Students singing on risers may dress as a farmer, farmer’s wife, or barnyard animals. (cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, mice, horses, etc.)
***All animal narrators and dancers are to meet me at the front of the stage at 6:00 p.m. to get into their costumes.

Sunset 1st grade field trip to the Alberta Bair Theater, Billings
Sunset 1st grade families, our 1st grade students are attending a performance of Charlotte's Web at the Alberta Bair Theater in Billings on Tuesday, April 9. Due to the time of the performance and travel from Billings they will return to Sunset School at about 3:30 pm, please make alternate arrangements to retrieve your student. If late bus arrangements are needed, parents must call the front office to make those arrangements.

UPDATE: The school zone lights are fixed!
As many of you are aware, the flashing lights that designate the school zone for Sunset School are out of sync since the change to daylight savings time. We addressed this with the City of Cody. There are mechanical issues the City is dealing with regarding the lights. The repairs are forthcoming. Please remember, the road in front of Sunset School is still a school zone, drive with caution.
Our Sunset Student Council wanted to bring a little fun to celebrate March. They are hosting a free event next Friday, March 22nd, Dress as Your Teacher Day! We hope your student has fun and joins in on the festivities!
